23 years old Edward Chuah might be young, but that didn’t stop him achieving
his goals and helping the others while he’s at it.

Edward has always been a fan of those masked vigilantes and growing up, he wanted to be one of them. That has lead him to getting more involved in sports activities.

“In the beginning, my weight was only 48 kg. With hope to protect people around me in the future, I started my bodybuilding journey.”

Juggling his careers as an entrepreneur, fitness coach and also a student, he has to admit that different circle of people has different expectations of him when it comes his bodybuilding journey.

Standing at 175cm tall, Edward is a firm believer of never giving up. He often sets his goals on daily basis, executes them well and ensures he achieved his target at the end of every session. His current fitness goal is to effectively increase the amount of muscle in his body and he is looking to gain about 10 kilograms within the next two years.

When it comes to his diet, Edward designed his meals based on his BMR. That includes 40% of carbohydrate intake, another 40% for protein and a careful amount of remaining 20% for fat intake. He started his day during the break of dawn and have a light breakfast before hitting the gym. He will then start his coaching sessions throughout the day or study until night.

Highlighting dead-lift as his favorite workout, Edward realized that it is not a fan of many as there are high chances of injury if you don’t have the right body posture.

To him, deadlifting will strengthen the entire back and its surrounding muscles, making this lift great for rehabilitative, and preventative purposes. In fact, the deadlift is the most effective exercise for building the core strength that supports all other major muscle groups.

“About 20% of adults around the world(11% of men and 15% of females) were obese in 2016. The global prevalence of obesity has increased nearly threefold between 1975 and 2016. So, I hope to inspire the whole world to live healthier and eventually lead a healthy lifestyle.” He said, when asked about his future plans within the next 5 years, being in the industry.
